Some manufacturing companies are already at an enviable level of operation. They're working to six sigma levels of quality and are focusing on squeezing small percentages out of all their operations.
Conversely, other businesses aren't at that level but have a dogged determination to get there. Our client is one of those businesses and needs your skills and background to help them create a refined manufacturing operation.
As a Manufacturing Director with significant experience of working in pharmaceutical manufacturing, you'll know what that journey entails. It's one with many challenges to overcome, but you'll be able to fall back on your previous successes to create a roadmap then implement it across the organisations.
The company has gone through a significant period of change with new leaders and heavy investment in state-of-the-art machinery to provide the best platform for growth. They now need a site manufacturing director to lead the new culture, develop the teams' skills and knowledge of lean manufacturing, CI, and six sigma tools and techniques.
Given the nature of their products, quality is paramount. Indeed, you'll be working closely with their new Quality Director to help them hit their production targets while improving product quality and the quality culture of the company.
Our client envisages you will be degree qualified in an engineering discipline and your background will include GMP within a batch manufacturing, pharmaceutical environment. They feel their operational teams will respond well to a hands-on, visible leader who is ever-present and taking an active role in their training, mentoring, and daily problem-solving. As such, you'll probably have a collaborative style and will be comfortable engaging with all levels of the business.
Opportunities to make your mark on a business of this type don't appear every day, and, as you can imagine, there is much more detail to discuss on this role, so please indicate your interest by emailing your CV, quoting reference LX 932969
