Our client, a leading supplier in the food & drink industry, is seeking a Logistics & Trade Compliance Coordinator to join their dynamic and collaborative team. With operations spanning across the UK, Germany, and beyond, this is your chance to play a pivotal role in ensuring the legal and seamless movement of products globally.
The Role
• Manage end-to-end import/export operations, including air, sea, and road shipments, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
• Prepare and manage all necessary documentation for global trade, including customs declarations, certificates of origin, and regulatory compliance for markets like China, the US, and Europe.
• Provide expertise on post-Brexit customs requirements for shipments into the European Union.
• Collaborate with sales, customer service, and international colleagues (particularly in Germany) to ensure smooth coordination of global shipments.
• Act as the key point of contact for trade compliance, advising on Incoterms, customs tariffs, and regulatory changes.
• Resolve trade and logistics challenges proactively while ensuring the timely delivery of goods.
The Ideal Candidate
• Proven experience in international trade, import/export operations, or customs compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of Incoterms, global shipping documentation, and trade regulations (e.g., EU customs processes).
• Experience handling perishable goods or food products is highly desirable.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage complex documentation requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• A collaborative team player who thrives under pressure and is passionate about ensuring the smooth movement of goods across borders.
• Knowledge of the food or beverage industry is a plus but not essential.
