Location: Hybrid - 1 to 3 days/week in Salford Office (Greater Manchester)

We're working with a Registered Provider (RP) housing association in Greater Manchester, seeking a Management Accountant to play a pivotal role in the development of a newly formed finance function during a period of rapid organisational growth.
This is a hybrid, flexible role with excellent exposure to strategic finance, regulatory compliance, and collaborative project work. It's an opportunity to make a tangible difference in people's lives through finance.
The Role:
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, evolving environment. You'll support the Head of Finance with:
* Monthly management accounts, budgeting and variance analysis
* Financial forecasting and reporting to internal and external stakeholders
* Year-end audit prep and liaison with external auditors
* Maintaining ledgers, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
* Preparation of VAT returns and support with compliance requirements
* Developing dashboards, KPIs and supporting wider financial insights
* Ad hoc projects such as systems improvement, audit preparation, and controls review
You will work closely with the governance, risk and compliance teams to strengthen the organisation's internal controls and improve transparency.
What We're Looking For:
* Qualified, part-qualified or QBE Management Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
* Strong Excel and financial systems experience (e.g., Xero, Sage, Dynamics)
* Confident communicator who can explain numbers to non-financial colleagues
* Knowledge of VAT and regulatory frameworks
* Experience in the social housing sector or a Registered Provider is highly desirable
* Based within commuting distance of Salford
