· Manage intercompany transactions, pricing queries, and cost allocations with the US parent and German sister companies.
· Ensure compliance with post-Brexit German VAT obligations and interstate accounting requirements.
· Supervise payroll processes, pensions, and payroll-related benefits for the UK team.
· Liaise with external auditors for year-end preparations, tax accruals, and broader tax compliance.
· Extract, manipulate, and analyse data using Crystal Reports and Sage 200 for financial and stock management.
· Support profitability analysis, budgeting, and provide financial insights to guide strategic decisions.
· Oversee an internal accounts team and an internal sales team, delegating tasks and ensuring cross-coverage.
· Drive process improvements, leveraging advanced Excel and BI tools to enhance efficiency and reporting.
· Manage company insurance policies, legal compliance, and corporate governance requirements.
· Collaborate with cross-border teams, occasionally travelling to the US and Germany to strengthen relationships.
The Ideal Candidate:
· Holds a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related analytical field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience as a management accountant in a pan European SME or multinational environment.
· Advanced proficiency in Excel, Sage 200 (or similar systems such as Xero), and Crystal Reports.
· Familiarity with multi-currency operations, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting for parent companies.
· Experience in audit, corporate governance, and compliance (VAT, tax, payroll regulations).
· Strong technical and reporting skills, including proficiency in BI tools for data analysis and presentation.
· Proven ability to manage varied responsibilities, address challenges independently, and drive process improvements.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team management skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
· Holds a valid passport for occasional overseas business travel (primarily to the US and Germany).
