Your role will be crucial in addressing key challenges such as managing churn, optimizing monthly recurring revenue (MRR), controlling customer acquisition costs, and enhancing average revenue per customer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Financial Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's ambitious goals.
  • Oversee financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the executive team to drive business performance.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

  • Ensure precise and timely financial reporting in compliance with local and international standards.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure tax compliance and manage external audits.

Operational Management

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Optimize cash flow management and working capital.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall business objectives.

Risk Management

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management practices.
  • Develop and maintain business continuity plans.

Business Partnering

  • Act as a key business partner to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Drive cost-efficiency initiatives and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations in Germany.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in subscription businesses either B2C or B2B.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (Workday); advanced Excel skills.
  • Fluent in both German and English.
  • Available to commence within the next 4-6 weeks.

    As the Management Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial success of the operation, reporting directly to the General Manager and Commercial Finance Manager.

     

    You will oversee financial management and reporting activities at the facility. This includes preparing and analysing financial reports, such as daily flash reports, month-end reports, and KPI reports. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial forecasts to support resource planning and operational decision-making.

     

    Collaboration with the General Manager is essential to align financial strategies with operational goals and objectives.     The Role:

     

    This pivotal role demands a blend of financial acumen and operational leadership, with an 80% focus on spearheading financial initiatives. You will be the financial voice and operational eyes for the UK headquarters, ensuring seamless cash flow management, auditing, and internal controls across the French territory. This should include extensive IFRS and French GAAP experience gained within a SAP environment.

     

     

    Our client envisages you will be a French national with excellent English language skills. You'll be a confident presenter, as part of your role will be to deliver financial reports to the European head office senior team. Initially, you'll need to be based on the French site full-time, as you lead and embed transformational change, but the role can eventually become hybrid with three-four days on site and one-two days working from home.
